Seven years ago at a festival, I saw someone wearing a beautiful, colorful jacket. I was instantly captivated. For more than two years I searched for something similar but never found it. That’s when I decided: I’ll make it myself.
I started taking sewing classes, importing vintage fabrics and textiles and experimenting with creating unique pieces. What began as a search for a cool jacket turned into a way of expressing myself. Not only through what I wore, but through the story each piece carried. Color became for me a symbol of strength, hope and renewed energy.
Today, making clothes in the evening has become my creative outlet. I design by upcycling, giving ‘forgotten’ fabrics a new life. It started as a hobby and recently also led me to create pieces under my own brand: Ritz & Rebel. For me, the creative process of making clothes is about transformation: turning raw, discarded materials into something meaningful, wearable and full of character. It’s about slowing down, working with my hands and creating something that carries both soul and story.
